The Supporters Club have now started the clock on the 56 day period for nominations to be elected for various positions on the Supporters Club. The AGM will take place in the Pete O'Brien Lounge on Thursday 29th July starting at 7:30pm.

All those interested must inform the Returning Officer Alan Hackney either by PM or e-mail by 22nd June 2010.

Should more than one person stand for an elected position an election will be held amongst the members of the Supporters' Club to decide the winner.

Positions up for election (all for a two year term):-

Supporters' Club Chairman
2 Vice Chairman positions
Supporters' Club Secretary
Supporters' Club Assistant Secretary
Membership Secretary
Supporters Club Treasurer
Assistant Treasurer
Transport Manager

Would anyone who wishes to "throw their hat into the ring" for any of the above positions contact Alan Hackney on 07792 136557 or a.hackney@hotmail.co.uk on or before the 22nd June 2010. Anyone who wants to stand must be a current Supporters' Club member. [/b][/u]

Supporters' Club committe positions involve giving up small amounts of time on a voluntary basis for the benefit of the Football Club. In return you get to know what makes the club tick and build relationships with people at the heart of Hyde FC.

Important announcement regarding Supporters' Club AGM.

Supporters' Club Returning Officer Alan Hackney has received nominations from a couple of members who were under the impression that they still had time to stand for committee positions. This was not the case and the deadline had in fact passed.

Alan has made the decision to cancel the current election for the Supporters' Club AGM and start the process again from scratch. Whilst this embarrassing and clearly delays the Supporters' Club AGM, it avoids possible disharmony going forward.

The Supporters' Club AGM will now take place in September 2010.

Positions up for election (all for a two year term) are:-

Supporters' Club Chairman
2 Vice Chairman positions
Supporters' Club Secretary
Supporters' Club Assistant Secretary
Membership Secretary
Supporters' Club Treasurer
Assistant Treasurer
Transport Manager

Anyone who has already put themselves forward for any of the above position(s) must do so again themselves (not via a third party) in person, by email or by telephone to Alan Hackney by 6pm on Saturday 17th July 2010. Please note, all members who have already stood (whether before or after the original deadline) must re-contact Alan should they wish to stand again.

Alan Hackney is available in person on the day of the Hyde FC v Man City friendly, by phone 07792 136557 or by email to a.hackney@hotmail.co.uk

Anyone who wants to stand must be a current Supporters' Club member.

Both Carol Hardy and Andy Mc'Anulty have decided to withdraw from the election for the two Supporters' Club Vice Chairman positions on the basis that they have already been elected unopposed for other committee positions.

This means that voting slips do not need to be sent out and that Don Goodwin and Dan Bradley become joint Supporters' Club Vice Chairmen for a two year term commencing on 2nd September 2010.
